Enoteca Bisson was founded in 1978 by Pierluigi Lugano, a former wine merchant turned grower dedicated to preserving Liguria’s winemaking heritage. Based in Chiavari, Lugano partners with small growers, overseeing vineyard work from pruning to harvest, and vinifies grapes with minimal intervention. Farming the steep slopes of Cinque Terre by hand, he champions traditional methods and rare grape varieties, acquiring prime vineyard parcels to protect these unique expressions. His rosato, made from Ciliegiolo—named for the Italian word for cherry—is full-bodied and vibrant, with notes of ripe red cherry, wild strawberry, and savory tomato leaf. A perfect wine for food pairing!
