Sitting above the fog on Mt. Veeder is Mayacamas - one of the oldest and most legendary producers in Napa Valley. This historical property has a long lineage of caretakers spanning more than 125 years and continues to consistently produce some of the longest-lived, most classically-styled Cabernet Sauvignons in Napa. The 2019 vintage is known for producing wines of depth with powerful tannins that can benefit from a decant or time in the bottle. For Mayacamas, that means a slightly more richer and darkly fruited wine than their normally reserved style. Black raspberry and deep cherry aromas lead to a spiced palate that still has plenty of freshness along with flavors of anise, tobacco, and licorice.
