A family running a successful wine estate for over 300 years is no small feat, but the Krugers - and the Rumpfs when they married into the family in 1870 - have managed it. When Stefan Rumpf took over in 1983 their holdings shrunk to a mere 17 acres and the property was on the verge of bankruptcy. Over the past few decades, they have flourished, adding more vineyards from some of the Nahe’s most prized plots. Now with sons Georg and Philipp at the helm, they continue producing some of Germany’s finest wines. One of our favorite new finds, this all Spätburgunder rosé is a dry, crisp, lighter style that features soft strawberry and cherry flavors and wild floral and red fruit aromatics.
