Favonius, named for the Roman god of the western wind, is the passion project of Portuguese winemakers Rodrigo Martins and Pedro Cabanita. Lifelong friends turned business partners, they bring authenticity, innovation, and heart to everything they do. Based near Alcobaça and Nazaré, they work with trusted landowners to farm organically and sustainably, using bio-stimulants and minimal intervention. The ‘Curtimenta’ orange wine is naturally fermented on the skins for 12 days, giving it a vibrant hue and enhancing both aromatics and texture. Aromas of orange peel and mango lead to a medium-bodied palate with notes of tangerine, passionfruit, and peach skins, finishing with soft tannins.
