After his family acquired the historic Château in the 1990s, Benoît Chazallon diligently applied himself to learning both the practical and academic areas of winemaking. He ripped out about half the vines from the property, as they were planted to varietals not suited to the rugged territory of Ardeche and began the conversion to organic and biodynamic farming. His dedication and tenacity is to our benefit with this classic Southern Rhone-style blend. Earthy and balanced with fruit, it bursts on the palate with juicy black raspberry and clove spice tones backed by white pepper with a refreshing finish.
