Located in the town of Langenlois, about an hour drive northwest from Vienna, Weingut Steininger is a family affair. Karl and Brigatta live on the estate with their daughters - Eva, Anna, and Lisa - and their spouses who together run all aspects of the winery. Although it was the close neighboring region of the Wachau that made the initial assault on the world’s wine lovers, the Kamptal gained recognition shortly thereafter for producing wine of great quality as well, yet often at friendlier prices. Dry and fresh, it flaunts ripe aromas and flavors of citrus, pear, and peach with Grüner’s trademark flinty minerality, white pepper, and balancing acidity - all its elements in perfect harmony.
