The team at Lioco call this a ‘heritage wine’ – a homage to the very traditional dry-farmed old vines they’ve so meticulously cultivated to produce Indica. Equal attention to detail is paid once the grapes are picked, hand harvested, intensely sorted and then fermented in open top stainless steel tanks. As soon as the cork is pulled, bright red raspberry and cherry flavors hit the nose. On the palate, cranberries and black cherry, crisp acidity, and moderate alcohol all mesh seamlessly. Mild tannins and floral accents on the finish round out an outstandingly balanced, intriguing wine.
