From his high perch in the village of Vire, Andre Bonhomme has been setting the standard for quality in the village and is a big part of its recent elevation to AOC status in 1997. The family also owns a couple of acres outside of Viré-Clessé, from which they make this wine. After 18 months aging in stainless steel, this Chardonnay displays great finesse with mineral-driven aromas of wet stone along with notes of lemon, and green apple. Extended lees aging provides a rich texture and subtle notes of buttered biscuits to balance the mouthwatering acidity.
