Alsace is a unique winemaking region in large part due to its historically perilous location on the French side of the German border. Over the years their culture, food and wine has been influenced from both sides of the border. Although they grow a number of traditionally Germanic varietals, they create wine in a style all their own. This Pinot Blanc by fifth generation winemaker Jacques Cattin is a great example of the regional style that makes these wines so versatile. Handpicked from the prime south facing slopes, the finished wine bursts with aromas and flavors of white peach and pear matched to a rich texture that leads to a mineral-laced finish.

Pairings: Spicy Asian dishes such as shrimp paid thai
