Edelberg is located in the Weiler sub-region of Nahe, where brothers Peter and Michael Ebert cultivate nearly 60 acres of vineyards on steep slopes. Riesling naturally makes up the majority of the plantings, but the brothers leave room for Yellow Muskat, Bacchus, Kerner, Muller Thurgau, and Gewürztraminer to thrive as well. All grapes are harvested by hand, and in the cellar the wines are made according to their motto: “As much as necessary, as little as possible.” Their terroir must always be evident. ‘Das Glitz’ shows aromas of overripe green apple and pear with a fresh and fruity palate of green melon, tropical flowers, and soft, fizzy bubbles.
