Based in Langelois in the heart of the Kamptal appellation in Eastern Austria, Karl Steininger is the patriarch of his family run estate. From their own vineyards, Karl and his family not only make superb still wine, but are well-known for their single varietal Sekts - traditionally made sparkling wines. Their Sauvignon Blanc Sekt showcases all the delicious aromas and flavors we expect from a quality “Savvy B” wrapped in a package of fine bubbles that we seldom see outside of Champagne. Aromas of green apples and herbs explode on the nose. A bright, acidic palate that pops with fresh citrus leads to a light, dry, and beautifully frothy finish.
