Las Jaras is known for producing some of the most recognizable natural wines in California, and over a short time has developed somewhat of a cult following. That’s one of the reasons why we were excited to get our hands on this brand new Nouveau from the winery. All from the organic and dry farmed Gary Venturi vineyard, this mélange of grapes produces a slightly darker fruit profile than you may be used to from a wine labeled ‘Nouveau.’ A touch of smoke on the nose is surrounded by juicy boysenberry and blueberry on the palate. The use of carbonic maceration on all of the grapes gives this wine a pop of freshness that we can’t resist.
