Winemaker Michael Cruse has made himself quite a legend in minimal intervention wines in California. His education and training in microbiology combined with a dedication to low technology winemaking has yielded spectacular results that have landed his cuvées a cult-like following. He’s become a leader in crafting natural sparkling wine and doing so in a clean, elegant fashion that many winemakers have since tried to emulate. After years of perfecting the ancestral method, this White Zinfandel shines. The nose is filled with fragrant cherry blossoms while candied rhubarb and grapefruit zest shine on the palate.
