Jose Michel made his first vintage in 1955 in Moussy in Cotes d’Epernay, the center of Champagne. Now his grandson Antonin is brilliantly refining the work begun by Jose over six decades ago. Seven hectares of vineyards are spread throughout several villages, both in the Cotes d’Epernay and the Valle de la Marne. The base vintage in the ‘Premices’ cuvée is aged for 2 years and is then blended with reserve wines that have aged for 4 or 5 years. It smoothly combines power and finesse, with notes of toasted brioche, green apple and pear, with overtones of honeysuckle.
