Nestled in the village of Saint-Amour, the northernmost Cru in Beaujolais, is Domaine des Vignes du Paradis. For five generations, the Durand family has cultivated nearly 12 acres of Gamay and Chardonnay. The current steward of the estate is Pascal, who carefully tends to each parcel of vines like individual gardens throughout the year. This organically grown Gamay from the Saint-Amour cru is hand harvested and bottled without sulfur additions resulting in a light, juicy style. A bouquet of violets and raspberry lead to an inviting palate of silky red berry fruit and just the right amount of earth and spice.
