Sebastien David was born in St Nicolas de Bourgueil to a family of winemakers that extends fifteen generations. Today, his 37 acres of grapes are certified organic and biodynamically farmed. He vinifies his wines as naturally as possible, always fermenting with wild yeasts, bottling without filtration or fining, and omitting sulfur additions altogether. ‘Couple Goals’ is a blend of direct press Chardonnay sourced from the Rhone Valley and skin contact Chenin Blanc coming from the Loire Valley. This is a softer style of orange wine and is a great introduction to the style with notes of lemon zest, canteloupe, and beeswax.
