'Seriously Sweet'

Scowling snobs and deacons of dryness have long cast sweeter wines into the outer dark, with mass-produced dessert wines have done plenty to mire the genre’s prestige. I’m here to tell you that looking for dessert wines doesn’t have to start with judgment and end in disappointment. Plenty styles of dessert wine have storied histories and classic productions, ranging from  the humble yet dignified Moscato to Royal Tokaji, the wine of kings and the king of wines. Depending on style, delightful notes of dried stone fruits, robust aromas of hazelnut, and flourishes of florality make these wines wonderfully affable and incredibly complex.
