Joana Santiago set out to make her grandmother proud when she took over the century-old family farm, which had been selling grapes to local co-ops, and started producing under her own label. In a region sometimes known for casual Vinho Verde with some spritz, she puts particular focus on terroir-driven, classically still Alvarinho, . This is fermented in stainless steel before being aged five months with lees stirring. Driven by aromas of citrus and white flowers, this is a fresh and elegant wine, with some mellow stone fruit flavors and a satisfying mineral finish.
