One of two Climats (single vineyard wines) from Le Puy, ‘Les Noyers’ offers an even finer and more smooth texture-a reflection of the vineyards sand, silt and clay soil-compared to the sister wine ‘Les Pins.’ Fermented spontaneously in cement during a two-week maceration, it spends 18 months aging in old barrels with the lees. The Cabernet Franc heavy blend contributes savory earth and spice elements that help balance the stemmy and red berry fruit flavors on the palate. Cool, juicy and tense with silky acidity, ‘Les Noyers’ offers a beautiful representation of the next generation of right bank bordeaux.
