For over sixteen generations the Bura family has been making wine and growing grapes along the breathtaking Dalmatian Coast, located in Dingač at the southern tip of the Pelješac Peninsula. ‘Basina’ is made from the indigenous Croatian varietal, Plavac Mali. Hand harvested from from their fully organic vineyards, the slightly raisinated grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in open vats. After ten months of maturation in used French oak the wine is then bottled and held back for 12 more months prior to release. Aromas of Herbs de Provence, bright plum, and blackberry preserves, lead to a silky, juicy palate with bold tannins. If you’re a fan of Zinfandel - give this bottle a try!

Pairings:
Proscuitto and arugula pizza
