Baia's Wines 'Gvantsa's Wine' Pet-Nat 2023

Baia and her younger siblings, Gvantsa and Giorgi, were born and raised in a family of winemakers who have long produced wine in the traditional Georgian way: skin-contact fermentation in large underground clay vessels called qvevri, with a focus on indigenous Georgian grape varieties. This pét-nat is made from the Tsitska (tsee-tskaa) grape, known for its vibrant acidity, making it an excellent choice for high-quality sparkling wines. A portion of the grapes undergoes skin-contact maceration, giving the finished wine a rich golden hue. Delicate aromas of honeycomb and buttery apples lead to a lush, textured palate with tiny, zippy bubbles and flavors of bruised golden apple, persimmon, and citrus zest.
