Ampeleia 'Bianco di Ampeleia' 2022

Already an internationally acclaimed winemaker with her Foradori label, Elisabetta started her Ampeleia project to take advantage of a unique opportunity in Maremma - a region known for some of the world’s finest ‘Super Tuscan’ wines - to produce wines that are traditional and rustic, and a far cry from the international blends of the region’s fame. Harvesting from a co-planted vineyard of these native varietals, these white grapes see two days of skin contact, along with more time in concrete to allow these diverse grapes to harmonize. A hint of floral notes lead to a palate of orange pith and yellow fruit. Fresh yellow flowers on the finish give this textural, food-driven wine a refreshing bite.
