Originally planted with vines in the 1860’s, the Staglin Family Vineyard has a long history of viticulture. Shari and Garen Staglin purchased this Rutherford Bench estate in 1985 with the intention of producing world-class Napa Valley wines from their certified organic vineyards located at the base of Mount St. John, the tallest mountain in the Mayacamas Range. The Staglins are also dedicated philanthropists, donating a portion of the revenues of each bottle of ‘Salus’ to support brain health research. Aged for 19 months in 73% new French oak, this is classic Napa - intense aromas of tobacco, cedar, and cassis lead to a robust, full-bodied palate of plum skin, tart blackberry, and spicy peppercorn with big, chewy tannins.

Pairings:
Dry-aged Tomahawk steak
