As a forth generation winemaker, Anton Bauer has taken his family’s winery and transformed it into a modern facility. Yet in the vineyard Tony still hand-picks the grapes and utilizes a very traditional, hands- off approach just as his family always has. For this cuvée, Tony uses the first harvest from a selection of his vineyards and ferments and ages the wine entirely in stainless steel, to show a fresh and clean incarnation of his wines of the Wagram rather than a specific vineyard site. It’s an instant classic with aromas of layered apple, nut and mineral spice. The palate is crisp and clean with ample amounts of citrus fruit and is versatile to go from aperitif to pairing with a spectrum of cuisines.
