Vietti is a Raleigh Wine Shop favorite, and one of the most consistently excellent wine producers in the Piedmont. From the everyday to the exceptional, it seems that their wines never fail to deliver. So it’s no surprise that we enjoy their medium-bodied Barbera d’Asti, which offers up traditional flavors of red cherries and cranberry. Sourced from three vineyard sites in the Asti, it shows bright acidity representative of the region. Floral aromas on the nose and palate add complexity and a level of freshness to the already tart red fruit. Aged in old Slovenian and French casks for 14 months creates soft tannin on the finish to balance the modern and juicy palate.
