Stefano Antonucci is the proverbial prodigal son – he left his family home in Le Marche where his father was a baker to pursue a corporate job. It didn’t take him long to realize it was a mistake, and he promptly returned to a more pastoral lifestyle as a farmer and winemaker. It is here where he says nature constantly sates his curiosity, and where he crafts wines using a very traditional approach. His ‘Pignocco’ is named for a particularly imposing pine tree in the center of the vineyard, and features white flowers, peach and almonds on the nose and a vibrant, elegant finish.
