The Rezabal estate is a family-owned winery in the coastal town of Zarautz in the Basque Country of Northern Spain. Their vineyards are planted with native grapes that benefit greatly from the proximity to the ocean. The sea breezes bring great freshness, salinity, and acidity to their wines. The rosé is hand harvested and vinified without the use of oak to help highlight the wine’s minerality and fresh fruit flavors. Toward the end of fermentation, the tanks are closed to preserve the natural carbonation making the wine slightly effervescent. This is the perfect porch pounder with plenty of juicy watermelon, honeydew melon, and raspberry flavors that are balanced by hints of gardenia and a saltiness that is classic Txakoli.
