Radikon 'Jakot' Tokaj Friulano 2016 - 500mL (Half Bottle)

Regular price $55.00

Region: Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy
Grape(s): Tokaj Friulano
Winemaker: Saša Radikon
Drinks Best: Now - 10 Years
The name ‘Jakot’ is Radikon’s protest to the EU for banning the use of the word ‘Tokaj’ on wines produced outside of Hungary. Made from Tokaj Friulano, a grape traditionally grown in Friuli, this wine spends about 3 months macerating on the skins followed by extensive aging prior to release. An exotic bouquet of mango, dried orange peels, and mint give way to a soft texture and flavors of sour citrus, yellow apple, and white pepper. Zesty acidity keeps the palate fresh while the long skin contact provides plenty of structure and a glowing, amber color.
