In the small town of Castelnuove dell’Abate, Flavio Fanti is considered a traditionalist when it comes to managing his cellar and his 45 acre vineyard site.He only grows native Sangiovese and takes great care in creating wines with character and approachability. The Rosso is ready to drink right away, with its red licorice and soft cherry nose and palate. Natural yeast is used and the wine is not fined or filtered, helping to provide a touch of tobacco and earth on the finish to balance the juicyfruit. It has medium tannin and maintains a medium body, making this a versatile and classic go-to Tuscan wine.
