Oyster River Winegrowers is a grassroots project located in Warren, Maine. Since 2007 they have been making wine and cider from their organically farmed vineyards and orchards while also purchasing fruit from other growers in the Northeast. Winemaker Brian Smith takes a natural approach in the cellar by adding nothing and taking nothing away from his wines. The ‘Morphos’ Pet-Nat is made from Cayuga and Seyval sourced from vineyards in Fingerlakes, New York. Bottled during the end of fermentation and without the addition of sulfur, this is a hazy wine with tiny, energetic bubbles and lots of refreshing acidity. Flavors of lemon and lime mingle with a yeasty richness that pet-nat fans will love!
