The Biscardo family has been making wine in Verona for four generations and have become synonymous with high quality and traditional wines selecting the best grapes from the most suitable areas in Valpolicella. This wine is a ‘Ripasso’ meaning ‘Pass Again’ which refers to a traditional process used to give richness and body to wines. After the initial fermentation, the wine is ‘re-passed’ on top of the skins of the bigger and more complex Amarone, a wine made with semi-dried grapes. This technique adds color, tannins, and complex aromas of dried blackberries and rose petals. The palate is full-bodied and soft, with velvety tannins and a long, elegant finish.
