Lise and Bertrand Jousset, determined to grow the best Chenin Blanc possible, moved to the left bank of the Loire in 2003. Together the pair strives to craft wine that is meant to be shared and consumed no matter the occasion. They promote biological diversity in the vineyard, excluding herbicides and pesticides, in order to create healthy, living soils. While they consider themselves ‘natural’ winemakers, they pay close attention in the cellar to ensure their wines remain clean and elegant. ‘Exilé’ delivers soft yeasty aromas and plenty of ripe strawberries, raspberries, and pear on the palate. Crisp and complex with frothy bubbles and a chalky, dry finish - what’s not to love?
