Tasmania, an island located 150 miles south of the Australian mainland, is probably most closely associated with our childhood memories of a Looney Tunes character, though after drinking this Brut, surely your associations will change. While sparkling wine may not be synonymous with Tasmania - yet - the climate almost perfectly mimics that of Champagne, giving these grapes ideal growing conditions. Made in Méthode Tasmanoise, a riff on Méthode Champenoise, the Jansz is a great value for a very similar style to that of the famed French region. Honeysuckle and toasted hazelnuts are in perfect harmony with orange zest on the nose and bright, tart strawberry flavors on the dry palate.
