Nothing really says warm weather quite like Vinho Verde. Literally translated as ‘green wine’, this refers to its fresh, vibrant flavors and the fact that it’s meant to be consumed in its youth, in both white and rosé form. The Gateway Vinho Verde is mainly made up of native grape, Loureiro, harvested in the Amarante sub-region of the Minho, and traditionally used specifically for this light, refreshing beverage. Fresh cut white flowers on the nose make you want to dive right into the fruity star fruit, citrus zest, and tart Granny Smith apple palate. Spritzy, dry, and oh so thirst quenching!
