Funaro is a three generation farm that operates out of the Terre Siciliane region of Sicily. Started in 2003, that winery is led by a team of brothers: Tiziana, Clemente, & Giacomo. A blend of two traditional Sicilian grapes, Zibbibo & Inzolia, this cuvée gives everything that the area has to offer in aromatic whites. The grapes are vinified separately - both only seeing stainless steel to keep a genuine presentation. The nose is an adventure through the tropics full of fruit cocktail, salt, and soft floral notes. The palate is round and plush with lime zest, herbaceousness, and a note of slightly overripe, juicy yellow peaches. This is sure to be a go-to for the warmer months of the year.
