Domaine Ghislaine Barthod was originally founded under the name Domaine Barthod-Noellat, and was the result of the marriage between Jura native, Gaston Barthod, and Madeleine Noëllat whose family had vineyard holdings in Burgundy. Gaston took over the estate in the 1950s after he returned from serving in the military. Ghislaine, Gaston and Madeleine’s daughter, apprenticed with her father beginning in the 1980s and has since brought new vigor and a unique touch to not only the vinification of her wines, but also the vineyard management. Under her tutelage, the reputation of this estate has grown internationally and is now regarded as one of the great producers in Chamoblle-Musigny. This Pinot is elegant with crushed rose petals on the nose, fine tannins, strawberries, red currants, and a hint of freshly cracked black pepper on the palate.

Pairings:
Herb & garlic roasted pork loin with summer ratatouille
