Region: Chalone, Monterey County, California Vineyard: Brosseau Vineyard Grape(s): Chenin Blanc Drinks Best: Now
Dirty & Rowdy stormed onto the California winemaking scene in the early 2000s, defiantly making natural wines from obscure grapes. After purchasing a ton of Mourvèdre to make two barrels of wine in 2010, winemakers Hardy Wallace and Matt Richardson, have since garnered quite the following. This Chenin Blanc spends time macerating on the skins giving it an amberhue and plenty of texture. Notes of lemon peel, cantaloupe, and gardenia lead to a long, structured finish.
Pairings: This orange wine is begging to be enjoyed with your next charcuterie board
