We’ve been fans of Chateau Saintongey’s white blend for some time and we’re thrilled that the latest release of their companion red blend shows so much of the crowd-pleasing regional-style that has made their white such a big hit in the shop. Rather than crafting Bordeaux blends that takes years, even decades, to hit their stride, the winemakers at Chateau Saintongey are crafting wines that are a pleasure to drink right now.  Their Merlot-dominant blend is soft and juicy with round berries and plum fruit accented with a touch of dusty earth. The addition of Cabernet Franc adds depth of character and intrigue to this great value Bordeaux.
