Perhaps it comes from youthful exuberance, ignoring what they are told they cannot do, but in the few years since taking over their historic family winery, the young brothers Brand have begun to redefine winemaking in northern reaches of the Pfalz. Going beyond the organic flirtations of their father Jürgen, the Brand boys have transitioned to fully organic farming and are pursuing tbiodynamic agriculture. Their pét-nats have developed quite a following with their 2019 vintage arguably being one of the best yet. Their rosé is extremely crisp with notes of sour cherry, rhubarb, and watermelon balanced by soft bubbles and beautiful texture.
