The Hinojosa family has been making wine in Mendoza for three generations. When Don Hinjosa first bought his land people thought that he was foolish for trying to plant vineyards due to the rocky soil. Little did they know that the soil characteristics, along with the altitude of 4,000 feet above sea level, would be an asset to his wine production. The high altitude and significant diurnal shift allows the vines to slowly ripen, which creates a concentrated wine. This wine is velvety with moderate tannins and well-integrated oaky spices. Juicy plummy fruit and soft chocolate on the palate makes for a delightfully classic Malbec.
