Region: Côtes de Thongue, Languedoc-Roussillon, France Grape(s): 60% Roussanne, 40% Viognier Drinks Best: Now - 2 Years
It seems almost every week we are introduced to lovely terroirs situated in the Languedoc region. Several years ago, Bruno Triguero and Thama Sakuma came from Sao Paolo to buy a 19th century estate on a small tributary of the river Thongue and began working the land organically. The estate has been a part of the region’s ups and downs of winemaking, but they are finally being recognized for their unique and stunning vineyard sites and clean natural wine. Their white blend hits the right balance of weight, texture, and freshness. Clean drinking and full-bodied with floral honeysuckle aromatics from the Viognier lead the nose followed by ripe persimmon and white peach on the palate.
Pairings: Fried white fish tacos with a pear and honey-lime crema
