Sandhi is a small-production California winery focusing on vineyards from the Sta. Rita Hills. Founded by two superstars in the wine world - Raj Parr, wine director for the famous Michael Mina Restaurants, and winemaker, Sashi Moorman - they seek to produce wines with balance. It’s a new wave of winemaking in California more reminiscent of classic Burgundian styles than what we’ve become accustomed to from the New World. 2018 is the first vintage of their Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay that is entierly sourced from estate vineyards resulting in a more complex and nuanced wine with great aging potential. Smoky aromas and rich notes of custard and stone fruit are met with a flinty minerality and lively acidity.
