After the unexpected death of his father, Gerhard Pittnauer took over the family winery.  After a few experimental vintages and studying winemaking trends in the international wine scene, he realized that the wines he loved were created biodynamically. He converted his entire operation to organic, sustainable practices and minimal intervention winemaking. With the help and guidance of his wife Brigitte, he works 15 hectares, half owned and half leased. ‘Pitti’ is their fresh, medium-bodied, everyday drinking red. With sour cherry and blackberry on the palate, prominent black pepper and violet aromas, and an earthy backbone, this wine will surely not disappoint.
