For many years, the property that is now Domaine La Rouviole was abandoned with the vineyards gradually falling into ruin. In the early 1950’s the Léonor family took over the estate and revived the delapidated vineyards with the intention of showcasing the beautiful terroir. Today, the nearly 100 acre property is covered with grapevines as well as almond, fig, cherry, and olive trees which promotes a more biodiverse ecosystem. ‘Vin Photographique,’ made with organically grown grapes, is a traditional blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault. The medium bodied palate features notes of black raspberry and plum with a hint of earthiness to balance out the juicy fruit and mineral driven structure.
