This sweet Aleatico is made with a process referred to as ‘passito’ in which the grapes are laid out to dry out on racks  after harvest. During this time, the juice inside the grapes evaporates resulting in a higher concentration of sugar. ‘Cristino’ is made from the lesser known Aleatico grape that truly shines when made into a dessert wine of this style. Full-bodied, intense, and aromatic with notes of black cherries, myrtle, and dried herbs - the finish is long and sweet.
