‘Lunar Apogé’ is a well-balanced classic Rhone blend, expressive and decisively ‘natural.’ Of course, everyone’s definition of a natural wine is slightly different, but this wine is backed up by a slew of certifications including DOP organic and Demeter certified biodynamic. (Organic certification focuses more on ingredients used whereas the biodynamic certification concentrates on processes and practices.) Harvested at night, spontaneous fermentation with native yeast, unfined and unfiltered – this wine is fresh and delicious with the rich blue fruit and slightly gamey notes from Syrah to balance the light strawberry lusciousness of Grenache and the structural poise of Mouvedre.
