Stanko Radikon began bottling wines from his family vineyard in 1979 where the vines were originally planted in 1948. After several years of producing more conventional wines, Stanko began experimenting with ancient winemaking techniques. Following Stanko’s death in 2016, his son Sasa now operates the estate carrying on his father’s legacy. This Pinot Grigio is destemmed and macerated on the skins for 10-14 days, developing a beautiful pink hue. The wine is then fermented with natural yeast and then aged in Slavonian oak on the lees, lending to a complex wine with tremendous freshness. A bold bouquet of blood orange, candied lemon peels, ginger, and dried roses introduce a remarkably juicy palate with a twang of acidity and flavors of grapefruit, strawberry, cherry pit, kiwi, and sour melon.

Pairings:
Thai chicken curry
