After years of selling wines at some of the finest Portland restaurants, John Grochau decided to put his passion into making wine, not just enjoying it. Having been a bicycle messenger and racer in his youth, John honors his personal history by donating proceeds of the Commuter Cuvée to the Brett Jarolimek Memorial Fund, raising bicycle safety awareness. Their non-interventionist philosophy of winemaking shows how minimal handling and subtle coaxing of aromas and flavors, and by using oak as a delicate seasoning, can create a delicious and affordable Pinot Noir - bright and juicy with red raspberry and a fresh finish.

Pairing: Cedar planked salmon with potato latke, creme fraiche, and dill
