With the unexpected death of his father, Gerhard Pittnauer apprehensively took over the family winery.  After a few experimental vintages and studying winemaking trends in the international wine scene, he realized that the wines he loved were created biodynamically and so with the help of his wife Brigitte, he converted the entire operation to organic, sustainable practices and minimal intervention winemaking. Made in the natural, simplistic spirit that embodies Weingut Pittnauer, this rosé has some sediment but also a juicy and clean palate. Flavors of rhubarb, passionfruit, and strawberry join forces with cherry blossom on the nose and a tart, vibrant finish.
