Region: California, United States Grape(s): Chardonnay Drinks Best: Now
For years, David Gordon sat back and watched as inexpensive, manufactured wines flooded the market out of California. Luckily for us, as the chief wine director at some of the world’s most acclaimed and award-winning restaurants, such as the oenophile’s dream Tribeca Grill in Manhattan, David has developed relationships with some of California’s best winemakers and vineyard managers working out of Napa and Sonoma, allowing him to produce wines of integrity coming from superb vineyard sites for the everyday consumer. The Bacchus label is crowd-pleasing with its clean, steely nose with light floral qualities and fruitful palate of bruised and ripe apple, baking spices, and a richness throughout this dry Chardonnay.
